What happens if two players catch the ball in netball?

It depends how they were touched, but techniquely Netball is a non-contact sport. However if it was just a small tap or you tripped and bumped into them then the referee normal lets it go. When you are competeing for the ball, most contact gives a free pass to the opposite team. Or if it's a harsh challenge then a foul could be given.

It depends, if neither player has the ball it is usually ignored unless it is obviously done by one player and then they will give the ball to the opposition in the place where the player was contacted. But when someone has the ball and is bumped into by another player, the player who ran into the person holding the ball is made to stand beside the player with the ball so she can take a free pass. Other players from the opposite team can mark the player with the ball but the player who contacted MUST stand beside and wait until her player has released the ball until she is able to move again. The player with the ball may choose to put the ball down and let someone else from her team take it depending on where they are the court.

lots of things can happen...

~ if the two players (from the same team) "think" they both caught the ball at the same time (but on caught it before the other) and the one who did catch it in the first place lets go (leaving the one who didnt catch it left with the ball) then it is classed as a SHORT PASS

~ if they are from oppposite teams and the same as above happens then it is called FIRST POSSESION and the player who actually caught it first gets a free pass (only she may take it)

~ if by chance to players from opposing teams catch it at the same time then they either do a TOSS UP or one rips the ball out of the others hand before the umpire has time to call it.
