probly the brakes ware rod that tells you to replace the pads...if not then its a wheel barring getting ready to let go. jack the car up if you can, and find the wheel that is grinding and put your hands on the top of it and push. if it moves back and forth then it prob you barring. and check your struts!!!!!! i have a 98 grand prix that will grind when going around coners and it was the front struts
For the front wheels to point different directions there is something bent, broken, or disconnected in the steering linkage or front suspension.
Bad Struts
Possible failed U joint or cv joint at the left front wheel
The noise/squeeling is due to understeer caused by the back wheels pushing too hard oer the front wheels, this can also be attributed to suspention set-up and wing set-up
they used to be on the front wheels?
I have P22560-R-16 on my 2000 grand am and my machanic said that the tire is rubbing the struts . Do I have the wrong size tire or wheel on my car?
I had the same thing on my 2002 caravan sport and I changed the caliper, rotor, and pads and no more clicking.
This is a front wheel drive vehicle and cables should be fitted only to the front tires.
97 grand am rubbing/grinding noise from right front that is not wheelbearing or brakes
If it is a full time 4wd it will not turn easily.
Most of them do have cv joints at the front wheels.
The front axle is not disengaged OR the front u-joints are starting to fail.
