∙ 11y agoIn 1979, Russia invaded Afghanistan. The USA and other nations felt it was wrong for one nation to invade Another Country and kill civilians at random. They showed their displeasure by boycotting the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics. This was long before terrorists from Afghanistan attacked the USA on September 11, 2001.
