Right now they are known for the Oregon Ducks football team, which did well in the 2010 season, and we are wishing them the best this season. Also it is known for their track and field events, like the Prefontaine Classic, named for the legendary Steve Prefontaine, America's greatest distance runner at the time of his death in 1975 at age 24. Nike sportswear, and their President Phil Knight are proud sponsors of U of O athletics. U of O has an excellent law school, with many outstanding alumni.
