Super Bowl VII, played on January 14, 1973. The Miami Dolphins beat the Wahington Redskins 14-7. That 21-point total is the lowest in SB history.

The next-lowest total (22) was in SB IX, a 16-6 win by the Steelers over the Vikings.

The third-lowest (23 total points) was in SB III; the Jets' 16-7 win over the Baltimore Colts.

The fewest points scored by ONE team in the Super Bowl happened in SB VI, when the Dallas Cowboys allowed only one field goal by the Dolphins, winning 24-3.
