Best Answer

The longest run in Super Bowl XLIV was by Indianapolis Colts Running Back Joseph Addai. The run was 26 yards.

The play took place in the first quarter, the 5:12 remaining. It was a 3rd and 1 play from the New Orleans 49 yard line. Addai went right up the middle for the longest run of the day. Three plays later Colts QB Paeyton Manning hit WR Pierre Garcon for a 19 yard touchdown pass, resulting in a 10-0 Colts lead.

The Colts went on to lose the Super Bowl, and are now the only team in the history of the league that had a 10-0 lead only to lose the NFL's title game.
