Terry Fox did not suffer from a disability. He was a cancer Survivor who lost his leg to a form of cancer called osteosarcoma. He began his "Marathon of Hope" to raise money for cancer research.
During the run, it was discovered that the cancer had spread to his lungs and he was unable to continue.
