According to an article in USA Today dated May 1, 2000 the salary for 'James Morris' of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for the 2000 season was $210,000. I was unable to find anything for 1999. Morris was called up to the club in September and I would guess his salary, prorated, was no higher than the $210,000 he was reported to have been earning for the 2000 season.
