I believe the card you are describing is a 1934 Goudey R309-1 Babe Ruth premium card. Babe Rurh was not included in the regular set in 1934 as Lou Gehrig was the spokesman for the Goudey set that year. Because of their strained relationship it would have been an insult to Lou Gehrig to include Babe Ruth in the set. A 1934 Goudey R309-1 Babe Ruth premium card that has an easel type stand up back most likely used as a counter top advertising display sold for $500 in a Hunt Auction.
