The largest amateur sporting organisation in the world is the Gaelic Athletic Association, commonly known as the GAA. It is in Ireland and looks after a number of amateur sports, the main two being Gaelic Football and Hurling. These are Ireland's two national sports. They are the biggest sports in Ireland. Although the big final in each of these sports, known as the All-Ireland Hurling Final and All-Ireland Football Final, each fills a stadium of 82,300 spectators with millions more people watching on TV and listening on radio or the internet in Ireland and around the world every September, none of the players get paid anything. It is completely amateur. There are over 2500 GAA clubs in Ireland alone, many with lots of teams for all different ages and levels of ability, and also GAA clubs around the world, particularly where many Irish people live.
