In 1995 Art Modell moved the Cleveland Browns to Baltimore. The Ravens name was selected by a fan contest for a mascot. It was chosen for Edgar Allen Poe's poem, "The Raven." Poe lived in Baltimore and is buried there.

The answer to this question can never really be proved. It is simply a matter of opinion. Statistically, they seem like a good team, having made it to the playoffs the past 3 consecutive years. They also have a star linebacker, Ray Lewis, who strikes some people is intimidating. Overall, they can be a good team, but you have to really decide the answer.

Yeah, they're good. The have a top 5 defense and a very capable offense. The have trouble in the O line but are getting better. The biggest problem is penalties... Unecessary penalties. But they are a good team and stand a good chance for the playoffs.
