Others are used to increase muscle size and mass, these would be used in sports like bodybuilding. So in answer to your question anabolic steroids are commonly used in many sports and are not more highly assosciated with any one sport in particular.

Steroids are found throughout Sports. Any sport that requires strength or speed can find a case of steroid use in it. In February of this year, Hedo Turkoglu of the Orlando Magic was suspended 20 games for coming up positive for anabolic steroid use. Baseball is the most common sport to use steroids this past decade though. While this was happening in baseball for over 20 years it is just beginning to come to the light.
