In 1959, Biola College moved to La Mirada, CA. In July of 1981, Biola College became Biola University. Biola is a private Christian University, with an undergrad count being around 5,000. As a Biola undergraduate student, you are required to take 30 units of Bible classes (which is 10 classes). With those 30 credits, every Biola graduate will graduate with a Bible Studies minor. Affectionately, Biola's students also call Biola the Bridal Institute of Los Angeles, as the women are stereotyped to be looking for their husband.
