Why do left-handed hitters have more trouble with left-handed pitchers that right-handed hitters with right-handed pitchers?

As a general rule, there are less left handed pitchers. So lefties face lefties less often and have less at-bats to adjust to them. There are probably other reasons also.

What happened on October 14 1985?

The only thing I saw of significance was in sports when Ozzie Smith, of the St. Louis Cardinals homered against the Los Angeles Dodgers to win game 5 of the National League Championship. What is significant was that it's the first time Smith homered as a left handed batter after 3009 at bats. I have attached a link to the article.

Mickey Mantle hit his 500th home run at Yankee Stadium on May 14, 1967. The solo blast came in the 7th inning against relief pitcher Stu Miller of the Baltimore Orioles. Miller was right-handed so Mantle batted left-handed. This is confirmed by the photograph of the event that you can find at various places.

Why do they change pitchers to pitch to a right hand or left hand batter?

right handed pitchers throw breaking balls that break AWAY from right handed hitters and vice versa, thus it is generally considered more difficult for a right handed batter to hit righties. There are exceptions, the 'screwball' is an example. Generally a right hander wants to throw it only to a lefthander. Its not that common of a pitch. Recently the most notable example was Fernando Valenzuela and lesser known Jim Mecir.

How much is a poster given out at a Yankees game in 1969 with all the Yankee greats on it?

I'm not sure about a poster that was handed out in 1969. I do have information on a poster that was handed out in 1970. Casey Stengel's All Time Yankee Team Old timers Day Poster was handed out at Yankee Stadium on Saturday August 8, 1970. This day the 24th annual "Old Timers Day" was held in honor of Casey Stengel's 80th Birthday (July 30) as the Yankees retired Casey Stengel's number 37. The poster features players that include Mickey Mantle, and Joe Dimaggio. This poster is worth about $75. - $150. The Yankees official scorecard for that day had the old timers day program inserted inside of it. This program was full of Casey Stengel Stats, as well as his greatest Yankee team, and opponents. For More information on this poster I will leave a link below. I will also check the 1969 Yankees program/Scorecard for any information on a poster give away. If this is not the poster you are asking about contact me with more information.
