Gary Medel (born August 3, 1983 in Santiago) is a Chilean fotbaler, who as of March 2014, plays for Cardiff City.
Medel, who was named after former England player Gary Lineker, made his debut in his home country for Universidad Catolica in 2006, spending three years at the side before moving to Boca Juniors in 2009.
Medel spent two years at Boca Juniors, picking up 46 league appearances, before moving to Sevilla.
Medel signed for Cardiff City in August 2013, slotting into a defensive position for the side.
Medel has made over 50 international appearances for Chile since his international debut in 2007.
