In MLB, the career leader for innings pitched is Cy Young who pitched 7354 innings in a career that spanned 1890-1911. As far as the 'modern' innings pitched leader, that would be Phil Niekro who pitched 5404 innings in a career that spanned 1964-1987.

As of the 2008 season, that would be Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees with 123 playoff games. Bernie Williams, formerly of the Yankees, is second with 121.
