As the athlete begins to start running forward, right arm goes forward at the same time as the left arm going back. This forms the drive phase using the biceps which allow you to have a strong arm swing & the deltoids which help the body to drive forward as well as the trapezius and latissimus dorsi; the joints the arms are using is the ball and socket joint at the shoulder and the hinge joint at the elbow -slightly, this is repeated on the other side of the body as the left arm comes forward. As the first leg takes a step the quadriceps help you to push off the ground, the hamstrings and glutes help to bring the leg back and restart the leg turnover and the gastrocnemius helps you to have a stable base when you sprint in your spikes. Always remember that your core is very important because you use your back and abdominals in all kinds of running, but they are enormously important for acceleration.

What muscles are used in freezby?

There are many muscles used when playing Frisbee. It all depends on what is happening. For example, if there is a lot of running involved, then your leg muscles, both the calf and thigh muscles, along with heart and lung muscles. When throwing the Frisbee, you will use most arm muscles, because of the motions you make with your elbow. Then you would use your abdomen muscles when twisting your body around to throw the disk. It is a good work out if there is much distance between the players, to increase the running and throwing done in the game. Hope this helps and have fun!
