it is in fact Taekwon-Do's step behind side kick, on fight science the measured the amount of damage that one kick from each martial art enterd would deliver, Taekwondo came in first without even using its strongest kick for the test Ben frasier used a turning kick which was measured as the fastest and strongest second came the Muay thai shin kick. however Ben fraiser quoted that he in fact did not use his strongest kick.

Leg Muscles. It all depends what kind of kick you are executing. Snapping require more of your hip muscles for that extra extension while on the other hand Thrustings require more leg muscle.

Are wrestlers like Kenzo Suzuki and others trained martial artists?

Yes, he is and many others are also. He performed in New Japan before coming to America and used a lot of martial arts. Honestly, Kenzo Suzuki isn't. I have spoke to Kenzo before. Yes he has came from Japan but he was just a Wrestler...Not a Martial Arts specialist. Wrestlers like Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri, and Akio are the ones who could be classified as Martial Artist. Kenzo is more of a Heaveyweight to be a Martial Arts specialist. The only thing of the such that he can perform well-ly would be a Super Kick or Buzz-Saw kick.
