Use the link to the Wikipedia article on Jackie Robinson. Then write your own biography from the facts set down there. Or you could start here. Jack Roosevelt "Jackie" Robinson was a professional baseball player, and he is most remembered for being the first Afro-American player in the modern era of the game. He broke the so-called baseball color line in 1947 when he signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers. There were no black professional baseball players in the league at the time. He was the Rookie of the Year and was the first player to take this honor. Two years later, he was the league's MVP. He continued to play well, and by the time he was inducted into the Hall of Fame, he had been nominated to six consecutive All-star teams, and been a member of 6 World Series teams. In addition to his superb baseball performance, he contributed a great deal to the Civil Rights Movement at the time. He wrote in support of and spoke up for the rights of blacks. His support of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcom X drew some criticism, but he stood up for what he believed in. He continued to lead by example after retiring from baseball, and he was active in business and in politics. He was given a number of awards of recognition, both in his life and after his death. Several books and a major motion picture chronicle his life and times. You still have the Wikipedia link. Why not surf on over to the Jackie Robinson post and check things out?
