What is wrong with my car i have a 2000 hyundia elantre and it runs and it just cut off and if you let it set for 30 min to and hour it starts right then it runs for a fews miles and does it a again?

Try changing the O2 sensor located on the transmission, sometimes if it is going out it will kill the vehicle like this.
Also try changing the fuel filter, it may be very dirty and plugged up.
