Try changing the O2 sensor located on the transmission, sometimes if it is going out it will kill the vehicle like this.
Also try changing the fuel filter, it may be very dirty and plugged up.

I have a 2004 Sonata. The owners manual says to change the full filter at 52000 miles but I was tolled by my mechanic that the full filter is in the gas tank and not serviceable.

Yes you can. You can see it 150 miles in space. From space at least because space starts at 60 miles above the atmosphere. you can see it from there but from outer space which starts at 200 miles you are probably able to but not a great gurantee.
