HOF fame baseballs are a good theme but I cannot help you with a value without knowing the names. Find similar baseballs that have sold at auction and you should have an idea of the value. Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the Baseball. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. Fore more information on signed baseballs visit the link below. Copy I take it by "Hall of Fame 1936 Babe Ruth Baseball" you mean a Baseball signed by Babe Ruth when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1936, or a "Hall of Fame Babe Ruth Baseball" issued recently as a collectible to commemorate Babe Ruth's Hall of Fame induction. Big Difference. If the baseball is a commemorate Babe Ruth's Hall of Fame baseball celebrating his induction into the Hall of Fame it would only be worth about $5.-$15. More of a novelty than a collectible. If the baseball is signed, and dated "1936" by Babe Ruth it will have higher value than a baseball signed by the Babe without the added inscription. Any inscription in reference to the Hall of Fame will add further value. One of the most prized signatures in the hobby a Babe Ruth single signed baseball in general is worth about $6,000.-$10,000. Value may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. A baseball in poor condition with a weak signature could sell in the $4,000. price range or less, and a minty baseball with a strong signature could sell in the $15,000 price range or more. The strength of the authenticity that accompanies the signature will hold the key to getting full value.
To properly value a baseball there are many variables i.e. when were the signatures obtained, the condition of the ball, who signed the sweet spot, the age of the ball etc. So to get a proper valuation of the item I would find an auction house or collector in your area to inspect the ball.
think of rewriting the question
A Kirby Puckett single signed baseball is worth about $150.-$250.Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. Add for inscriptions. The baseball would not have a higher value because it was signed on the day he was inducted into the Hall of Fame unless he inscribed it on the baseball such as "HOF 2001" In a recent auction (Feb 2008) a Kirby Puckett single signed baseball sold at a high of $239.00
There is no one in the baseball Hall of Fame who had nothing to do with baseball. They were either coaches, players, etc. Abbott and Costello.
The combo of those players together is not a common duo but becuase it is two Hall of Fame pitchers is certainly has value ranging around the $100 mark. A Rich Gossage single signed baseball is worth approximately $75 if it is on a Rawlings Official Major League baseball and is signed on the "sweet spot". A Bob Lemon single signed ball is worth approximately $84. These values assume that they are all authenticator by a reputable company. An autograph that isn't properly authenticated can be worth as little as half of the value of an authenticated signature. For other autograph values please see the below link.
