Roger Maris 125S Store Model Bat A Roger Maris 125S Louisville Slugger 33" store model bat is worth between $50. in used but not abused condition to $75.-$150. in excellent-near/mint condition. Made during the 1964-1980 labeling period.

The age of the bat will be a factor on value. If the bat was made during the 1948 - 1963 labeling period indicated by "REG US PAT OFF" below the center label it will sell at the higher range stated above, and if it is in minty condition more. The 1964-1980 labeling period will not have anything below the center label, and a Registered Trade Mark R after Louisville Slugger, and if made after 1973 will also have a Registered Trade Mark R over the d in Powerized.

The S after 125 stands for Special and might have the word Special above the Roger Maris name on the barrel. RMS 3 Stands for Roger Maris Special 33 inch bat. The RMS 3 is an Inch mark which is a term used with Baseball bats referring to the number stamped into the knob of the bat indicating the length on store model bats. Model number is not an inch mark.

I am not familiar with the Louisville slugger 102 baseball bat. it is probably an inexpensive store model bat. Without a player endorsement the bat will have little collectors value. Condition, size, age, and any vintage baseball bat features will be a factor in pricing the bat as well.

If you contact me with further details of your bat I could help you out. You can visit the link I left below to help you date your bat.

In general a Mickey Mantle Louisville Slugger 125 34 inch store model bat in unused excellent -near/mint condition is worth about $75.-$150. in used but not abused excellent condition about $50.-$100. The bulk of the value will be determined by the condition, age, and model of the bat. Longer, older and higher grade bats will sell for more.

With Louisville slugger bats in short, if your bat has the size stamped into the knob it is a store model bat. This is placed there to help the buyer identify the size of the bat. Examples of this would be number like; 4, 04, 34, and in this case MM4. These markings will indicate a 34 inch bat. When letters proceed the number like MM4 it is indicating the player model initials followed by the size, In this case MM4 Mickey Mantle 34 inch. This number as the 125 in the center brand is not a model number. A bat closest in size, and mode to the bat a player used during his career will have a higher value. Mickey Mantle was known to use Models M110, K55, and P72. Louisville slugger began using model numbers on the knob in 1943 then moving the model number to the barrel in 1977. For example a K55 Mickey Mantle pro model would have K55 on the knob as opposed to the store model bat with K55 appearing on the barrel. The "125" refers to the grade of wood used to make the bat. "125" is the highest grade and is reserved for all pro level bats. The "125" bats are also used for the highest quality store model bats.

The dating of the bat is one of the most important factors on value along with condition. Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Louisville Slugger has used different oval center brands in their history. By identifying the center label, trade marks, and patens you can narrow down the year to what era the bat was made.
