The .25 cents Lou Gehrig Stamp was issued by the US postal service on June 10, 1989. It would be hard to sell one stamp for more than .50 cents Collectors typically buy collectible stamps in sheets, or "plate blocks" of 4. The plate block includes the plate numbers from the printing process.

A quick search on eBay shows full sheets of 20 only selling for $5.00 (face value) to $15. Plate blocks are selling for $3.-$5.

The post office also sold framed cachets with the stamp first day issues that will sell as a display piece for about $20. -$30. First day issue cachets about $5.-$10. each

I have a rare Lou Gehrig Advertising Postage Meter Stamp from 1938 on my website that sells for about $250. -$350. The General Foods Corporation used it to promote Post's "Huskies" Whole Wheat Flakes. The President, and main spokesman of the "Huskies Club" was New York Yankees legend Lou Gehrig. This Postage Meter Stamp was used by General Foods in their mailings to promote the product. I will leave a link below for more info.

I found a Lou Gehrig rookie card made in 1925 by Exhibits and the asking price is $16,995. A 1925 Lou Gehrig Exhibit "rookie card" graded PSA 5, sold for a "best offer" price of $14,000. on July 4, 2007. The card is the second highest graded example among those authenticated by PSA. Just one card of its kind has ever been graded higher. A non graded card in the same condition would most likely sell for half that price or less. Exhibit Supply Company are best known for their Vending cards that could be purchased through a vending machine for one cents as late as the 1950's. Exhibit Supply Company also made, Movie Stars, Sports stars, Music Stars, and Cowboy Exhibit Cards.

Depends upon the condition - A Lou Gehrig single signed Baseball is worth about $5,000.-$8,000.

Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Signatures that are not properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less.

In a recent auction a Lou Gehrig single signed baseball sold for $3,346.00. The signature was a weak 5/10 -7/10 (graded 1-10/out of 10) so yes, condition is important. A signature in pristine condition on a nice clean white baseball could sell higher than $10,000.

Below is a link to a great example of a Lou Gehrig signature. The signature is from a baseball that is also signed by Babe Ruth with the inscription: "I'll Punch Lou in the Nose" and the Lou Gehrig Autograph signed on the Baseball with the inscription: "To my friend Kay from H.L. Gehrig The kid known as Lou"Check it out.

Baseball collectors may drive this value a bit higher. Commercially produced First Day Covers of standard commemoratives like this are typically worth a dollar or two. Higher value stamps, or specific cachet makers are worth more. A specialized catalog will list the value of a cachet or un-cacheted cover.

They are only worth face value, but you can usually double that to a baseball collector, who knows nothing about stamps.

What is the value of a Lou Gehrig autographed baseball card?

Lou Gehrig autographed baseball cardA Lou Gehrig autographed baseball card is worth between $2,500.-$3,500. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. It doesn't matter too much on which card is signed. In general, collectors of baseball cards would rather have a baseball card without the signature. The signature would be considered as a flaw in the condition of the card and will lower the value of the card as a collectible. If the signature has a lower value than the card it will lower the value of the card. The un-signed card could have a higher value.
