An original 1955 World Series Poster Picturing the Brooklyn Dodgers would be very rare, and could be worth hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, if original to 1955. I checked a few auction house archives, and came up empty. That type of rare.

Not rare are the many reproduction (Fantasy pieces) posters that are found on eBay, and sometimes these posters are pawned off as "original". They typically sell for about $10.-$15., and about $50. -$75 to people that have been scammed. These posters picturing the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers are 14" x 22", black and white with the words "World Series" and the date in red printing.

All to often collectors are mistakenly buying vintage memorabilia that is actually a good modern day reproduction of the original. Items that could fool the "experts" as well. See Related links below to a page to help you Identify the fakes from the real thing.

A Johnny Podres autographed Baseball card is worth between $35.-$45. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. In general, collectors of baseball cards would rather have a baseball card without the signature. The signature would be considered as a flaw in the condition of the card and will lower the value. If the signature has a lower value than the card it will lower the value of the card. The un-signed card will have a higher value.

1950 World Series Team Signed BaseballThe 1950 World Series featured the Yankees and Phillies. If the baseball is signed by both teams it would have a lower value than a baseball signed by one team or the other as valued below.

A 1950 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with the key signatures: Stengel, Rizzuto, DiMaggio, Berra, Mize, Martin, Ford, Bauer, and Woodling is worth about $1,200.-$1,600.

A 1950 Philadelphia Phillies Team Signed Baseball with the key signatures: Ennis, Ashburn, Roberts, Simmons, and Konstanty is worth about $1,000.-$2,000.

Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Prices may also vary based on the amount of signatures, and key signatures acquired. The more complete the baseball with key signatures the more valuable.

If the signatures are not properly authenticated the baseball could sell at half the market value or less.
