A 1968 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with the key signatures: Mantle, Bahnsen, and Stottlemyre is worth about $300.-$400.

Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Prices may also vary based on the amount of signatures, and key signatures acquired. The more complete the baseball with key signatures the more valuable.

If the signatures are not properly authenticated the baseball could sell at half the market value or less. For more information on team signed baseballs, links to full team rosters, key signatures, and price guide visit the following page from the link I left below.

Sorry, I wasn't able to find any information about a 1958 signed ball. I did find, on scpauctions.com, that in December 2005 a 1955 signed Yankees baseball had been auctioned off with a winning bid of $2,700, a 1950 ball for $5,400, a 1952 ball for $12,600, a 1953 ball for $8,400, and a 1954 ball for $5,100. If you are thinking of selling I would get it appraised first. Hope this helps a little!

1958 New York Yankees Team Signed BaseballA 1958 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with the key signatures: Kubek, Berra, Slaughter, Mantle, Ford, Howard, Larsen, and Turley is worth about $1,200. -$1,500.

Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Prices may also vary based on the amount of signatures, and key signatures acquired. The more complete the baseball with key signatures the more valuable.

In a recent auction a 1958 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball sold for $1,528. Signatures that are not properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less.

The signatures Ed Ford, and Larry Berra, instead of Whitey, and Yogi could be an indication that the baseball you have is a facsimile (stamped) signature souvenir baseball, and not hand signed. These baseballs from the 1958 era sell in the $30.-$50. price range in excellent -near/mint condition.

See Related Links Below for a picture of Ed Ford, and Larry Berra stamped signatures that appear on a 1955 baseball. If your signatures are exactly the same then you have a souvenir baseball.

A Clubhouse Signature is a signature that is not signed by the intended athlete. Most clubhouse signatures were done by bat boys, equipment managers, and other available clubhouse workers. It was, and still is common for a star player to have a clubhouse employee sign his name.

A 1961 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with the key signatures: Kubek, Berra, Mantle, Ford, Howard, Maris, and Tresh is worth about $2,500.-$3,000. Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Prices may also vary based on the amount of signatures, and key signatures acquired. The more complete the baseball with key signatures the more valuable. In a recent auction a 1961 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with a Mickey Mantle Clubhouse signaturesold for $1,195.00 (not bad considering) Clubhouse signature do have a degree of collectivity but of cause not nearly as valuable as the real thing. The Roger Maris signature on this baseball I'm sure kept the price above freezing. This price might be on the high end but it does show how desired the 1961 New York Yankees team signed baseballs are. If the signatures are not properly authenticated the baseball could sell at half the market value or less. Is a signed baseball more valuable with just one signature or more?

Depending on the signatures. In most cases a single signed baseball of a "Noted Player" will be worth more than a multi signed baseball that features the same "Noted player". Using Mickey Mantle as an example of a "Noted Player" vs. an actual Multi signed baseball that sold at auction, and included Mickey Mantle's signature on it. A Mickey Mantle single signed baseball is worth between $400.-$800. In two separate auctions a Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, and Duke Snider Multi-Signed Baseball. (NY center Fielders) very desired Willie Mickey and the Duke baseball sold for $334. and $448. Value is based on the price collectors pay for an Item. There are more collectors of Mickey Mantle memorabilia, and his signature is more sought after than the other two HOF'ers on this baseball. You have to treat this as two separate items. A Mickey Mantle single signed baseball, and a Mickey Mantle Multi signed baseball. There are less collectors of Hall of Fame multi signed signatures, than collectors of a Mickey Mantle signature. Therefor a Mickey Mantle Signed baseball will sell at a higher price. A collector of a Mickey Mantle signed baseball might prefer the signature by itself, may not desire the other signatures, and will not pay extra for the others or just pay less for the less desired baseball getting the Mickey Mantle signature at a bargain. This is why you cannot add up the value of each signature to come up with a value. To be a little extreme a David Ortiz single signed baseball might sell in the area of $300.-$400. most of the collectors of this baseball would be a David Ortiz Fan or, and a Boston Red Sox fan. Add a New York Yankees Bucky Dent signature to it. You just removed 99% of the Boston Red Sox collectors from the list of potential buyers. A collector looking for a Bucky Dent signature will not pay extra for the Ortiz signature. The amount of collectors that would desire this baseball has been significantly reduced bringing the price down with it. In some cases you might get more for a pair of signatures than the price of one, but not the total value of the two. I hope this helped you out. It could get confusing.
