The Gold base series of Bobbing Heads was the last set of "Nodders" issued in the 1960's. They were sold from 1966 through 1971 and featured a St Louis Cardinals-mascot head (redbird?), with a diamond shaped base. This Bobble Head is worth about $175.-$200, in near/mint-Mint condition.

The Gold base series of Bobble heads were made with inferior quality to its predecessors and often the dolls suffer from chips, cracks and paint flaking.

Gold Base series of Bobbing HeadsThe Gold base series of Bobbing Heads was the last one issued in the 1960's. They were sold from 1966 through 1971. This series saw the movement of several franchises and the addition of some expansion teams. There are 27 team dolls and an additional player doll- Willie Mays with number 24 decal on back.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Bobble head doll "boy face" has a book value of about $100. -$125. in near/mint - mint condition.

Condition is important. Cracks, chips, color fading, yellowing, worn decals, and paint flaking will bring the value down significantly.

They originally sold for $1.00 each! It included examples from 20 different franchises with several significant variations. The bobble heads measure about 71/4" tall unless you have the mini bobble heads which measure 4 1/2" They were made available through mail order, and were also sold at the ballparks.

The St. Louis Cardinals 1961- 1963 White base, "mascot" Bobbing Head doll is worth about $700.00 - $800.00 in Near Mint - Mint condition. (the mini dolls are worth a little more) Condition is very important, and the slightest flaws will bring the value down significantly. Common flaws include chips, cracks, worn decal, and paint wear.
