1988 Topps Wax PackThe 1988 Topps baseball cards came out during the baseball card boom that started around 1987. Enormous amount of cards were printed during this era to meet the high demand. Today the sets out number the amount of collectors. An unopened wax pack has a value of about .40 cents.
The 1983 Topps Traded set containing near/mint condition cards has a book value of about $25.-$30. The key card of the set is the Darryl Strawberry rookie card #108T with a book value of about $20.00 Topps did not seal their traded sets until 1992, and the condition of both the cards, and the box will effect the value. The 1983 Topps Traded set sell for about $10.-$20. on eBay.
Unlike individual cards, one would think that an unopened, boxed set would have a pretty set value. However, the 1991 Topps complete baseball set still in the box can be found for anywhere between $30 and $60.
1986 Topps Traded setThe 1986 Topps Traded set consists of 132 standard size cards numbered 1T - 132T. Card design is identical to the regular-issue 1986 Topps set except for whiter card stock and T-suffixed numbering on back. A complete set of 1986 Topps Traded has a book value of about $25.00 in Near Mint - Mint condition and $30.00 for a sealed set. The 1991 Topps set was over produced, and it is very common to find un-opened wax packs. With a low collectors value they can be found for $1.00 or less on eBay (if they sell), and a box of 36 could be found for $5.- $10.
