All nuts, bolts, and screws, are removed using the counterclockwise method. Clockwise tightens the bolts. Use the saying lefty ( counterclockwise ) loosey, righty ( clockwise ) tighty.

ATD Tools 6502 or OTC 7643 tool
You will need a special tool for this. It is a 2 PC tool-one tool fits over 2 of the bolts on pulley & other tool (looks like an open end wrench) fits over the large nut. Hold tool over the 2 bolts while you loosen the large nut. advice- leave belt on til you get all bolts loosen makes job a liittle easier tool can be rented at most auto parts stores
There are 4 bolts, 2 in front & 2 in back. You need the tool to remove the bolts.

When a vise grip is used, the tool tightens the pipes around the leakage, which as a result of tightening the pipes, will stop leaking. This is the best option in stopping a leakage.
