What where the rules of soccer?

No using your hand(unless your the goalie) No pushing with your hands, but you can shoulder people. you have to stay in bounds(the white lines) and if your team kicks it out then the other team gets the throw-in You can't pass the ball back to your goalie and have her/him pick it up, but the goalie can kick it you can only slidetackle if your A: going for the ball and B:your toes are pointed. You can't be offsides You cant be offsides in a through-in Hands behind your head and feet STAY on the ground during a throw-in The goalie CAN come out of the box but they cant pick up the ball If the ball is kicked inside the goal box and goes out of bounds its a goal kick, if the ball is kicked out of bounds but OUTSIDE of the goal box it is a corner kick. During a penalty kick/free kick you must stay 10-15 yards away from the ball during a kick off the ball must be kicked in front of the line (this isnt all of the rules)

The defense is given a goal kick when the ball goes out of bounds over what line?

If the ball crosses wholely over the goal line (but not inside the goal) and was last touched by the attacking team, the defensive team is awarded a goal kick.

In the NFL if the ball goes out of bounds while receiving a kick off and touches the ball on the 5 yard line in bounds does the ball come out to the 40?

As long as the ball was kicked from the kicking team's own 30, then yes. The rule is NOT that a kickoff out of bounds is placed at the 40-yard line. The rule is that the ball is placed 30 yards from the spot of the kick. So if the kicking team had been given a 10-yard penalty on the PAT play, and ended up kicking from the 20 instead of the 30, and the ball goes out of bounds, the ball would then be placed at the 50 -- 30 yards away.

Why Was I Always Taught That Once A Kick off Went 10 Yards It Was A Free Ball Unless It Went Out Of Bounds. I have Seen At Least 2 College Games Where The Ball Went Into The End Zone Untouched And Did?

There are two separate kicks (not including punts) in football, the scrimmage kick and the on-sides kick. The scrimmage kick is also known as the kickoff. A Kickoff occurs at the start of each half, after a team scores a touchdown or after a team scores a field goal. If the ball is kicked by Team A towards to opponents goal, Team B, the receiving team is given the opportunity to catch the ball. The receiving team must be given the opportunity to catch the ball. If the ball goes out of bounds in the field of play on the kickoff, it is a foul. The receiving team gains possession of the ball at the spot where the ball goes out of bounds. If the ball goes out of bounds in the end zone or hits the uprights, it is considered a touch back. The receiving team gets the ball at the 25 yard line. If Team A opts for an On-Sides kick, the ball must travel a minimum of 10 yards. If the ball travels more than 10 yards, it is considered a live ball, and any team may recover. If the ball goes out of bounds, the Receiving team retains possession at the spot where the ball goes out of bounds.

When the football is kicked off in college football what causes a penalty?

On a kick off, if the ball goes out of bounds it's an illegal procedure, and it's a penalty. Note: Does not apply to punts.

Why is a fumble that gos backward out of the inzone for the offense a safety and not a touchbach?

If you put the ball into your own endzone by backward pass or by carrying it there if the ball becomes dead in the endzone it is either a safety if you have possession at the end of the play or a touchdown if the oponent has possession at the end of the play. A ball that goes out of bounds is in possession of the last team to have possession in bounds so a ball going out of bounds in that case is a safety. Likewise a ball fumbled that goes out of bounds behind the goal line is a touchback because the team put the ball in the oponents endzone. If you put the ball in the oponents endzone it is either a touchback if he has possession or a touchdown if you have possession in the end zone at the end of the play. A kick remains a kick until it is possessed or is dead. That is why a ball touched by the receivers that then goes in the endzone where it is downed by the receivers is a touchback. It was the kick that put the ball in the opponents endzone.

Can an offensive soccer player run up the field out of bounds?

Nothing. When the ball goes out over the sideline, there's a throw-in. If it goes out over the goal line (but not a goal), if the defending player or goalkeeper was the last one to touch it, it's a corner kick, and if it was an attacking player, it's a goal kick.

What happens when a soccer ball goes out of bounds in a soccer game?

Many things can occur when the ball goes out of bounds... (1) If the ball goes over a side line last touched by an attacker, the defense receives a throw-in. (2) If the ball goes over a side line last touched by a defender, the attacker receives a throw-in. (3) If the ball goes over a touch line (not between the goal posts and under the crossbar) last touched by an attacker, the defense receives a goal kick. (4) If the ball goes over a touch line (not between the goal posts and under the crossbar) last touched by a defender, the attacker receives a corner kick. According to FIFA Laws of the Game. Youth rules may be modifided.

In basketball can you shoot at an opponents goal and score points for your team?

No. If the ball goes in the hoop for any reason (unless through a kick ball, a pass from the out of bounds, or from underneath the hoop) it is points for that team.

Can a punter kick the ball off the groundout of bounds to prevent other team from recovering it?

no

Can you continuously kick the soccer ball out of bounds?

In theory, yes, but every time you do, the resulting throw-in, corner kick or goal-kick puts the ball in the opposing team's possession.
