in softball, a first baseman has to:
-cover their base when a ball is hit to the infield and prepare for the throw
-charge when the batter squares to bunt
-be able to catch a ball that is coming at them really fast either from the third baseman, shortstop, or second baseman
-be able to get to their base really quickly in case you are getting ready to catch a throw from the catcher if they are trying to pick off the person at first base
-be able to catch wild throws anywhere within 5 square feet of the base
this is what a first baseman has to do in order to be a good softball player. :D
FIRST BASEMAN
If you mean on the softball field, there are nine, Pitcher, Catcher, First Baseman, Second Baseman, Shortstop, Third Baseman, Left Fielder, Center Fielder, Right Fielder.
Nine players start the average softball game. A pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop, and three outfielders. (Left, right and center.)
there is a short stop, a catcher, a pitcher, a first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, left fielder, center fielder, and a right fielder.
It means the first baseman, position 3, made an unassisted out. Example would be a ground ball to first baseman and they tagged the base for the out.
Catcher, pitcher, first baseman, second baseman, shortstop, third baseman, right outfielder, left outfielder, and center fielder
It has nine players: pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop, left fielder, center fielder, and right fielder.
the second base
A catcher, pitcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop, right fielder, center fielder, and left fielder. (9 players)

The shortstop (6).Then the second baseman (4), and finally the first baseman (3).
An infield in softball is the dirt part of the field. It is where the pitcher, catcher, 1st baseman, 2nd baseman, 3rd baseman, and shortstop play. The infield in softball is the same as the infield in baseball, except a softball infield is typically all dirt, while a baseball infield is all grass except for the base paths.
