The most points possible would be four in one play. This wold accure when the shooter is fowled when shoting a "Three Pointer" and scores,he must then shot one free throw to getthe four points. this is called a "four point play"
Four points. ( a three pointer with an AND1 [free-throw])
Tiebreakers would come into play (overall division record, conference record, net points in conference, etc)
Tom Brady of the New England Patriots hold the record for most Super Bowl Appearances, with 7 games. He has started in Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLII, XLVI, XLIX and LI. He is 5-2 in Super Bowl play and has won the Super Bowl MVP 4 times, also a NFL Record.
It depends upon the league/sport. In the NFL, for example, the team with the best overall record wins their division. In the event of a tie, the division record acts as the tiebreaker. I believe the best conference record wins the conference in NCAA Football, regardless of overall record. Then there are the league like the NHL, where a team earns 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie or post regulation loss--with the team accumulating the most points winning their division/conference.
