Receiving in volleyball means that the opponent is severing and you are going to receive the ball.
Whatever team is not serving.
In indoor volleyball, no person can double hit the volleyball unless the middle (blocker) hit the ball after a block.
It is called a serve receive.

I assume you mean receiving? That is when the other team has the ball and are serving it to your team. They are the serving team and you are the receiving team.
