Basically, if you are right-handed, then the left hand is placed onto the club grip first, and it is to stop the club slipping that the left glove is worn. The right hand is then placed partially over the left hand with only the rignt index finger and thumb actually touching the grip. There would therefore be no point in wearing a glove on the right hand.

Unlike Baseball, where batting gloves are uses to descrease vibrations from the bat to the hand, Golf gloves are for grip and to not get blisters. In golf, the hand on top is the one that wears the glove because it is the control, the bottom hand is just for support. Play 18 holes without a glove and I am sure you will see what I mean!

The answer is to get a better grip on the golf club. A combination of sweat or moisture on your hands will cause the club to turn as you make contact with the ball. You do tend to loose some feel when using a golf glove, for this reason, most people remove their glove prior to putting.

You can if you want. However, the reason why golfers wear a golf is so they can reduce the amount of pressure they apply on the club with their top hand, which is the left hand. You will notice when you grip a golf club that your non glove hand does not contact as much as the grip as your top hand, therefore a second golf is mostly useless.

A golf glove on your lead hand gives a better, more secure grip. Leather is more "tacky" than the human hand. This especially true when you prespire after several hole of golf. It also helps to prevent blisters.
