I have to run a mile and a half today for a military PFT (Physical Fitness Test) and the standard for full points is 9:36...
the sas is obviuosly special forces and therefore information is limited. paratroopers are of similar standard to the sas and are expected to run a mile and a half in under 8 and a half minutes.
If I can run a 4.42 mile what do think I should run in the two mile
run.
I believe about 14 laps around one tennis court is a mile. But it depends on the size you could always test it out by running it. The standard timedepending on your age could be between 6-13 minutes for a mile. So if you run 14 and get around that time its probabaly about a mile.

A 'split' is the time it takes to run a portion of the race. Split times in the mile run are generally taken after 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, and 3/4 mile and are used to determine whether the runner is on pace to finish the race in the desired time or in a record time.

An average person can run one mile in 7 to 10 minutes, so take half of that time.
