The national game of Bangladesh is Kabaddi; also known as Hu-Tu-Tu in Western India, Ha-Do-Do in Eastern India and parts of Bangladesh, Chedugudu in Southern India and Kaunbada in Northern India. The word Kabaddi may have originated from the Tamil words 'kai' (hand) and 'pidi' (catch). It is a combination of Wrestling, tag and tug of war; played by two teams of up to nine players each. The game dates back to prehistoric times and is thought to have originated in the South Asia region. The game has three forms of play: Amar, Surjeevani (played under the Kabaddi Federation of India) and Gamier.
