56 degree loft
The slingshot sandwedge has 54 degrees of loft.
The main difference is loft a pitching wedge has about 46-48 degrees of loft and a sandwedge has about 54-56 degrees of loft. The pitching wedge therefore can be hit farther.
The standard wedge has a 46° loft. The "Grass-N-Sand" variant has a 50° loft.
46 degrees. Also the A wedge is 51 and the sand wedge is 55.
The Loft. The approach wedge "A" is lofted between the pitching wedge "P" and the sand wedge "S"
A lob wedge is a golf club with a loft of about 58- 64 degrees. Some people call it a highly lofted sand wedge.
I carry a Lob wedge in my bag and it is a 60 degree loft club. It is one of 4 wedges that I carry. The others are a Pitching wedge which is 45 degree, a Gap wedge which is 51 degree, and a Sand wedge which is 56 degree.
A pitching wedge is usually 46 or 48 degrees, and sandwedge is usually either 54 or 56 degrees.
