There is no such position as a "rear basketball guard." There is a point guard and a shooting guard only.
A basketball stance is called a defensive stance. The proper stance can be done by first bending your knees so you are close to the ground. Make sure your back is straight, but your knees are bent. One hand is pointing towards two o'clock (pretend a clock is in front of you) and is out to the right (or left, depending on which way you are moving). This hand is meant to intercept the passing lane. The other hand is "digging" between your legs. This is for stealing a ball.
In Football or in Basketball??
In basketball there are 5 positions when on the court. They are: Point Guard (PG), Shooting Guard (SG), Small Forward (SF), Power Forward (PF) and Centre (C). The Point Guard is usually the smaller people on the court, they're role is to mainly set up shots, pass the ball, have good dribbling skills, they can also score at the right opportunity. In the NBA the best Point Guards include: Steve Nash, Rajon Rondo, Russell Westbrook. Shooting Guards are similar to the Point Guards but are mainly more of primary scorers. Most they are all-rounded in skill. Some great players in the NBA are: Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, and the great Michael Jordan but he is retired now. Small Forwards are the most all-rounded players, they are responsible to do more of everything, score, pass, rebound, defend etc. Some of the best today include: Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony. Power Forwards assist with the centres. They main role is to post up, rebound, defend and block shots. They don't need to have great passing skills. Some skilled players in the NBA include: Tim Duncan, Kevin Love, Kevin Garnett. Centres are usually the tallest on the court. They block shots and defend, on the offensive end they are meant to post up. They also collect most of the rebounds. Some great centres include: Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Andrew Bogut. In a NBA basketball team there are at least 12 players on a team. 5 play on the court at the time, while the others are on the bench. Players get 'subbed' on and off the court. These are the 5 positions that are played in basketball.
