There are no differences in the baseballs used on either league. The only difference is the American League has a Designated Hitter who bats for the pitcher, but the pitcher must bat in the National League.

If a game is played between each league, the home team's rules apply.

Is the american league baseball smaller than the national league ball?

No. Both the American and National Leagues must abide to the Official MLB Rules. The only difference between the two leagues is that the National League elects not to use the Designated Hitter Rule. Both leagues have the option to use it or not use it at the beginning of any game. Even if one team uses the Designated Hitter Rule, the other team may elect not to use it in the same game if they want to.

Why does the MLB pitchers bat in one league and not the other?

In the National League pitchers are treated like any other player and must bat for their order in the lineup, in the American League the pitchers spot in the lineup can be taken by a designated hitter. Since the two leagues have different rules, They go by the rules for the ballpark they play in. If it is in a National League ball park, the pitcher hits, if it is in an American League ball park they use a DH. This applies for any regulation game, regular season and playoffs

Was a difference in the size of the old National Football League and American Football League footballs?

Well back in the day the human species was a lot smaller than they are today, for instance: the average heigth of a male in 1950 was 5'0. Being 10" small than the average today. So that being said the football was smaller to make it easier for the smaller players to throw and catch the ball.

What was the difference of Negro Leagues from the white major-league ball clubs?

Please someone answer the question fast!!!! I searched all over the Internet and couldn't figure out the answer. :(I believe that the Negro Leagues was a league of baseball that was strictly focused on Afo-American men back at that time, because of racism and discrimination. White major league ball were just your average baseball teams. Again, I believe that this was around the same time as racism and discrimination and there was a STRICT NO NEGROES allowed policy.Segregation really kept them apart. That was main difference between Negro Leagues from the White Major League ball clubs.
