The Cubs are 75-57 while being third in their division and second in the Wild Card, and the White Sox are 62-70 while being fourth in their division. The Cubs are most likely to end up with the second Wild Card spot, while the White Sox are almost eliminated from the playoffs. If you are talking about history, the White Sox are statistically better with a .544 winning percentage (8989-8831) and three World Series championships (2005, 1918, and 1906). The Cubs havea .511 winning percentage (10585-10121) and have two World Series Championships (1908 and 1907).
