∙ 2009-11-13 17:31:10The difference between beach volleyball and sitting volleyball is that on the beach you do not sit to play volleyball where as obviously in sitting volleyball you would. Also I believe that usually disabled people play sitting volleyball. But I am quite sure that sitting volleyball could be played at the beach.
Beach volleyball has two players per team and doesn't rotate. Oh, and its in sand :)
outdoor volleyball is played by the beach. Inside volleyball is played by the gym.
The one big difference is that one is played inside and on court and is played outside on sand. Another difference is that you have 2 people playing rather than 6 on a regular game of volleyball inside!! And that's the difference between beach volleyball and indoor volleyball. Sources: I have played volleyball for 10 years!!
Beach volleyball is played on sand, regular volleyball is played on a hardwood court. Beach volleyball also has teams of two players rather than 6.
The surface you're playing on. (It's also different from beach volleyball!)
Beach volleyball is on the beach, indoor vollyball is indoors
Well, if you are just playing regular volleyball, but outside, the the ball isn't different. But if you are playing beach volleyball, they are made out of a different material.
There is actually a difference between the 2 balls. Outdoor ball pressure is 2.5-3.2psi. Indoor balls are much harder at 4.3-4.6psi. In other words a Beach volleyball is lighter then a indoor volleyball
As this goes without saying, the main difference between beach volleyball and indoor volleyball are the locations in which the games are played; beach volleyball being played on a beach court, and indoor volleyball being played on an indoor court. While indoor volleyball requires 6 athletes with fixed positions from each team on the court at one time, beach volleyball only requires 2, in most instances of competitive play. Other differences occur in areas such as the court. For example, a regulation indoor court is 30 feet by 30 feet on each side, while a beach court is 26.3 by 26.3 on each side. Also, a beach court lacks an attack line, or a ten foot line. Hope this helps!
Yes, there is volleyball at the Olympics but it is only beach volleyball.
beach volleyball is a game you play at the beach with friends or family. beach volleyball ball is a soft ball you play with.
