What is is the average mile time for a middle schooler?

I am in 8th grade and am doing crew, one of the hardest sports in the nation,... I ran 6 18 mile today before crew i could not even finsih a mile without stoping at least once... my average mile was like a 9 flat or something which is considered bad

well I'm a 6th grade girl. i ran one mile and my time was 10.48. i came in 3rd place, behind two tall boys.( keep in mind I'm short ) so that might be around the average time for a sixth grader.

I hold my conference record for all 100, 200, and 400 for both 6th and 7th grade. Ive broken both for my 8th grade year but records can only be set in the conference meet and that hasn't come up. But i run a 11.3 100m, a 23.3 200m, and a 53.7 400m. So i think that can give you a good idea.

Do you remember what your 6th and 7th grade record times were for both the 100 and 200 meters? If so, please post. Thanks.

an amazing kid at my school ran a 6:20 when he was 9 but he is probably not the record holder...

For an eight year old, his mile run would probably be around 7min 30 sec-9 min 30 sec

the average time should be 12-14. the good athlete will be running a 11.5 or under
