Although local rinks can be smaller or larger, the standard size for North American rinks is 200 feet x 85 feet. In the rest of the world, rinks are usually built to IIHF guidelines. The length is the same at 200 feet (approx. 61 m) but the rinks are much wider at 30 metres ( almost 100 feet).
An official NHL rink measures 200 feet long.
A standard NHL ice rink holds about 10,600 gallons of water. The exact amount can vary depending on the size and depth of the rink, but a typical ice rink will require thousands of gallons to fill.
No you can not dive it would be called as a penalty.
All ice hockey rink dimensions are the same incept for NHL size and Olympic size. NHL- 85 by 200 feet. Olympic- 100 by 200 feet.
A standard NHL ice rink is 85 feet by 200 feet...I doubt you have that much space in your basement. That's the spirit. I doubt you could build a standard size ice rink in your basement, but I think you could build a heck of a smaller one! Go for it!
Ice rink.
There isn't an ice rink in south east London but there is one in South London in the area of Streatham.
The ice surface is the same for all NHL teams; 200 feet long, by 85 feet wide.
Fly to New York. On the map underneath the golden statue is an area called Super Skate. Click on there and you'll be at the Ice Rink. Have fun!
NHL regulation or most US rinks are 85 ft wide and 200 ft long An Olympic rink is 100 ft wide and 200 ft long
Not 100% sure what you're asking, but I'll take a stab at it. The rink itself has 2 colors, Red and Blue (for the lines). That said, the league mandates that the rink surface (on which the ice sits) is white, so that could also be considered a color. It should be noted that some arenas actually inject/paint color between layers of ice, but I'm not aware if this is common practice in NHL rinks (my hometown rink still does). As for the boards, they have to be white with yellow trim.
