Is there an optimal angle to throw a javelin?

Throwing a javelin at the optimal angle. Throwing a javeline at the optimal angle is throwing a javelin at the angle which the air flows efficiently around the javeline. The center of pressure is the aerodynamic force of drag and lift on the javelin.before the 1986 change in javelins , some of the best throwers in the world would throw the javelin with as little as 30 degree angle but greater speed because they were able to hold onto the javelin for longer , producing more force . Good throwers still use this method but the most commen method is releasing the javelin at about a 40 degree angles, causing a longer flight for the javelin.

How do you draw angles greater than 180?

First, if the angle is 360° or more, find the remainder of the angle divided by 360 - this is as 360° represents a full turn. If you have a 360° protractor just measure off the angle. If you only have a 180° protractor, then there are two ways it can be done as the protractor is marked so that 0° - 180° can be measured from either end of the base line: Method 1: excess over 180° 1) Subtract 180° from the angle to get the excess over 180°. 2) Place the protractor on the line, centred on the vertex of the angle on the left of the line, with the top 0°/180° mark on the line. 3) Measure the excess over 180° calculated in step 1 from the bottom 0° mark of the protractor. 4) Draw in the second angle arm - the reflex angle (measured clockwise) is as required. Method 2: acute/obtuse angle of the reflex angle to complete a full turn 1) Subtract the angle from 360° to get the angle which completes the full turn 2)Place the protractor on the line, centred on the angle vertex on the left of the line, with the top 0°/180° mark on the line. 3) Measure the angle to complete the full turn calculated in step 1 from the top 0° mark of the protractor (on the line). 4) Draw in the second angle arm - the reflex angle (measured clockwise) is as required. The above assume a clockwise angle is being drawn from a vertical line with the angle vertex at the bottom. For anticlockwise angles, place the protractor on the right of the line. For a non-vertical line [mentally] rotate the paper so that the first arm of the angle is vertical with the angle vertex at the bottom.

Carrying angle of the elbow - excessive?

Alternative NamesElbow carrying angle - excessive; Excessive carrying angle of the elbow; Cubitus valgusInformationWith the arms extended at the sides and the palms facing forward, the forearm and hands are normally slightly away from the body. This is the normal "carrying angle" of the elbow, which is 5 to 15 degrees. This angle permits the forearms to clear the hips in swinging movements during walking, and is important when carrying objects. After certain fractures of the elbow, the carrying angle of the healed arm may increase, causing the arms to stick out too much from the body. This is called an excessive carrying angle. Or, the angle may be decreased so that the arm points toward the body, creating what is called a "gunstock deformity."Because the carrying angle varies from person to person, it is important to compare one elbow with the other when evaluating a problem with the carrying angle.

If an angle measures 245 what is the name of the angle?

obtuse angle

Why does an object thrown at 45 degrees travel the farthest?

This is true when the object lands at the same height as it was thrown, but not necessarity if the two are different. You can think of the motion in two parts; it moves upward and it moves sideways. If you throw it at a high angle, it won't have much of the sideways motion and won't travel far. If you throw it at a low angle, you won't have much upward motion and it will hit the ground before travelling too far. Try playing with the following simulator.look at the Related Link below for more information

How do you throw a javelin?

To throw a javelin, start by picking it up with your dominant hand holding it towards the back end of the shaft. Take a few steps forward to build momentum, then push off with your back leg and transfer your weight onto your front leg as you extend your arm and release the javelin with a whipping motion. It's important to aim for a slight angle upwards to achieve maximum distance.
