Talladega Alabama is in central northern Alabama. The race track is just off of I 20 about 1/2 way between Atlanta and Birmingham.

∙ 14y agoTalladega Superspeedway's original name was the Alabama International Motor Speedway. That was the name of the track from 1969 through 1988. In 1989 the track was renamed Talladega Superspeedway, named after the county where the track is located.
