The mile and a half run is extremely rarely, if ever contested by elite runners. However based on current world records for the mile and two mile, we can infer that the world record if it were commonly contested would probably be about 5:50.
The 1 Kilometer run is not an Olympic event in Track and Field. The current world record for the men's 1 kilometer is held by Noah Ngeny from Kenya. His time is 2:11:96. He ran on September 5, 1999.
Hicham el Guerrouj holds the record for the mile (3:43.13), which is 9 meters longer than 1600m. i am not sure who holds it for the 1600m. it's not considered an event in the elite track and field world, so it will probably be tough to find any sign of a world record for it.
The men's world record for the two mile run is held by Daniel Komen of Kenya. His time was 7:58. 61. For women the record is 8:58. 58 which is held by Meseret Defar from Ethiopia.
you would be running 120mph
If you run a mile in 2 seconds, you will be the fastest animal running. The record is just under 4 MINUTES!Still, it would take you 2616*2 = 5232 seconds = 1.4533... (recurring) hours.

Beatrice Arthur holds the world record for a female running the mile with a time of 3:56.24 She set the milestone in 1933 when she was 20 years old. Skiing would be measured along the slope, whereas running is usually measured by the distance covered irrelevant of terrain. I am not a good skier, so I ski almost horizontally, so 1 mile skiing would be almost 1 mile running. FOr a good skier, 1 mile skiing could be 2/3 mile running.
On June 8th, 1962 Jim Beatty ran the world record for the 2 mile distance with a time of 8:29.8.
