the question was what was the AVERAGE time. NOT the average winning championship time!
to actually answer the question, for an average high school track is probably around 11.5-12
The average American man can run about 1.25 miles(8:00/mile pace) in 10 muinites. The average women can run about 1.11 miles(9:00/mile) in 10 muinites. A good high school track athlete can run about 2 miles in 10 muinites(5:00/mile).
Average being a vague term, about 12-13 seconds is adequate for someone in good shape.
Usain Bolt with a time of 9.58 seconds
One hour
8minutes
8 minutes
maby like a 1;24 since there older i run a 1;05 & im 12 & do track
360 meters per minute.
If you can run 800 meters in two minutes your average speed for the 800 meters is 14.91 miles per hour.
His average speed for the whole run is (40/5.4) = 7.407 meters per second (rounded)
375 meters/per minute
30 mph Not likely. Even olympic sprinters don't get much faster than that. To find out how fast an average man can run just yell "free beer" at a tailgate party and then time how long it takes them to get there.
17 MPH
If the 1500 meters were run in 3 hours and 32 minutes the average speed would be 0.264 miles per hour.
