Originally, in 1992, team owner Wayne Huizenga had two choices for his team Florida/Miami Marlins/Flamingos. He first tackled the location part, the reason Huizenga used Florida (at first) for the team name was because he believed it would attract a broader fan-base from people all over Florida (only baseball in Florida at time). Then the actually name was taken care of. Support was growing for the name of Marlins since old minor league clubs were called the Miami Marlins after Florida's most popular deep water fish. Huizenga decided to keep the name Marlins again to create a fan-base

Ken Griffey Jr. signed 1992 Yankees yearbookOnce the Yankees yearbook is signed (on the cover) The collectors value is lost to the value of the signature. A Yankees yearbook would also make a poor item to have signed by Ken Griffey Jr. as he never played for them. A Ken Griffey Jr. signed Yankees yearbook is worth about $30.-$50. If the signature is on the inside it could be valued as a cut signature and the most of the value of the yearbook could be restored ($10.00 - $15.00) The Ken Griffey Jr. cut signature would be worth about $15.00 -$20.00. Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. Add for inscriptions.
