It most certainly has influenced the cars we drive today. And, on another side, how many people have lost family, or friends to illegal street racers? There is the sponsorship presence which influences our shopping habbits, and, of course, the drag racing industry employs thousands. And, in economic times like today, the value of a classic drag race Chevy, or Mopar, has gained, as our homes, have decreased. So, that would bring retirement, and investment issues into play.
