How fast does a old tennis ball lose its bounce from a new tennis ball?

A new tennis ball will bounce higher. Old tennis balls are considered "dead."

Does the age of a tennis ball affect its bounce?

Question: Does the age of a tennis ball affect its bounce? Answer: The age of a tennis ball does not necessarily effect its bounce. A new tennis ball in a pressurized container will remain in a relatively new state and have the same approximate bounce for as long as the pressure inside the container remains constant; this is true whether the tennis balls were made a week ago or a year ago. What will effect the bounce of a tennis ball is prolonged crushing, excessive striking, or anything else which results in a pressure decrease on the inside of the tennis ball. A new can of tennis ball should be squeezed to test the pressure inside the container. An unopened can of tennis ball which is easily squeezed will contain tennis balls with reduced pressure; of course, this will depend upon how long ago the pressure in the container has been reduced. A tennis ball has a fuzzy outer layer. Anything which causes this fuzzy layer to change can effect the bounce of the tennis ball. Normal tennis play causes a thinning of the fuzz on the outer surface of a tennis ball. The fuzzy layer can absorb water, mud, and other foreign materials or substances which act to increase the weight of the ball and effect its bounce. Randy Lynn Rutledge - author of Fix Your Tennis

How does a tennis ball's material affect its bounce?

Yes, this is because when the tennis ball is in a heated environment warm air enters through the ball and because the temperature gets higher, the tennis ball would get bigger. When the tennis ball is bigger it would bounce higher.

How long does a tennis ball last?

A tennis ball may deteriorate for a number of reasons, including usage (i.e., being hit) and the environment (i.e., heat and humidity). Left alone, a tennis ball would, eventually, lose air through osmosis of the rubber core and felt coverings. When struck, the air is forced out little by little. Heat forces air to escape more quickly, and the effects of humidity and being struck wear out the felt covering, as well as causing tiny cracks and holes in the felt and rubber from which air will escape.

What is the reason old ball travell faster then new ball thrown in the air with same speed and velocity?

Who founded table tennis?

The game of table tennis has its roots in lawn tennis. When lawn tennis became very popular in the 1870s & 1880s, game makers tried to emulate its success by developing indoor versions of the game. So there were card games, board & dice games, rackets & balloon games and even tiddledy winks tennis games. But the first use of the name Table Tennis occurred on a board and dice game by J.H.Singer of New York around 1884 and it's also known that a game of Table Tennis was offered in the 1887 game catalogue of George S. Parker, founder of the famed Parker Brothers in America. But the first action game of tennis on a table was in 1890, so it was David Foster of England who is the founder/inventor of table tennis in 1890.
