Below is an ignorant piece of advice. Here's what I say: I am pretty slow, and I have a 10:30. I have a friend who ran a 6:02 but she is an amazing track girl, and her sister has a 6:15. Both ridiculously amazing. Yet, average, I believe, is around high 8's - or 9's.
If you are a girl and any good at running, definetly under 7:30. I ran a 6:29 when I was 10 so... do your best at it. the slowest at my track team run a 7:14. The fastest, a 5:29. So it differs for everyone.

∙ 13y agoIt depends on how physically fit you are. When I was 12 I ran a 5:22, though I had almost no running experience prior to that. I am only 13 now but I have been running with the local high-schoolers for almost 3 months and I expect a mile under 4:50. At our age I would say anything under a 6:00 mile is good.

∙ 11y agoim 11 i run a 6:18 mile. many people run like 8:00 though i would say around like 8:00 minutes around there im 11 and run a 5 43 mile and im the fastest that i know at my school but the average would be 7 or 8min the slowest ive seen is 16 min

Average mile for a 10 year old boy?
I think that an average time for a ten-year-old girl to run a mile is about 7 minutes to 10 minutes. 7 for fast runners, 10 for, not slow, but people walking or jogging. Don't be ashamed if you got more than a 10 minute, or if you got less than a 7 minute, wow, your good! But it also matters about your training level, weight and height.
